FOOTBALL BOY CAKE

I was asked to make a 10 inch round cake for a 7 year old boy with a football field and plastic football players.......... as by now everyone knows me.......I NEVER make anything easy for me or simple. I just had to do something more creative....... so I surprised the big birthday boy (of course with his moms permission).

I made a boy playing football, out of chocolate cake and buttercream icing covered with fondant.

The smile on my face grew bigger and bigger (like the one on the cake) as the boy was coming together.

There was the background field covered with green chocolate, the color of his outfit was taken from his schools sports uniform and the football was a piece of cake as well.

When he saw the cake......his eyes were as big as the football. All the kids at the party only spoke about the cake till it was in their stomachs.

It was all worth the effort.......(my new motto)

Wini's Treats Advertised in the Local Newspaper

Last month me and my friend Akani organized an event - Family Fun Fair, in our local town, Maidenhead.

Loads of fun, stalls and people :)

To our benefit we also had the local newspaper reporters there....and we were advertised !!!

CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY RICH CREAM CAKE

I have been very happy these days....Summer is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So getting lots of orders for parties....no matter what the reason....

So here is one cake I really loved making.....

Chocolate Strawberry Cream cake.......

Soft, spongy and pink cake.
Filling - Chocolate Ganache, Chocolate Buttercream, thick Strawberry Cream and lots of fresh Strawberries
Outer covering - Chocolate Buttercream topped with Chocolate Ganache.
Decoration - lovely glazed strawberries and fresh homemade chocolate sprinkles.

I love seasonal fruits...and surly will be making cakes out of them.
I'm waiting for Mangoes!!!

FAMILY FUN FAIR - 19th March 2011

This was the most terrifying and the most exciting event of my life...because...I WAS THE ORGANIZER!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!!....and my lovely friend Akanki too. We both got together to make this event happen....and what an event it was.....
Just one day, out of the blue, we thought of doing this and started putting all the bits together, got the date, the venue and the people to run the stalls finalized. Got the word out by advertising and distributing flyer's and email and the net and and and and........lot and lots of work got put into this... that's why I said...This was the most terrifying and the most exciting event of my life....may coz it was the first....but I surly plan to do more....it was just AMAZING!!!

Almost all my friends, whom I had invited, came to the event to support me. I couldn't believe it! I am really lucky to have such great friends. I love you all guys and thank you so much.
The best part of all was...everyone who visited the event were very impressed with my work. As its just been a year since I started 'Wini's Treats', people from everywhere are ordering for cakes, cupcakes and chocolates. I am in BLISS. Thank you to everyone who have contacted me.

The Lovely Victoria Spong

Today another day of bliss...baking of course... I made the ever so lovely Victoria Sponge.
This order was given to me by my friend. She had a corporate tea party at her place...she wanted to do something different...
Oh! and I was invited too.... :-D
Her place is just so beautiful, with flowers everywhere and light pastel colors of her furniture and decor...
This cake was just the right choice...
I filled strawberry jam in it and dusted it with sugar... it was SO moist and spongy...yummmmmmmy

Everyone there had more than one piece...well...me too...hehehe

But all in all...it was the perfect tea party ever....
I think I'm going to have to do a tea party myself...

The Best Chocolate Fudge Brownie

I have been making Chocolate Fudge Brownies for a very long time..... and every time I make it, it all vanishes by dinner time :)

 I have had a lot of orders for these and it never fails to win hearts.

Its a big hit with children as well as adults.

Moist and tasty.

Have it with ice cream as a dessert or with just a glass of milk.....yummy!

Hi everyone! I sat down for hours thinking I should do somthing for all the lovely people who are supporting me.... I would like bake a wonderful $ tasty cake... but here comes the big question....what flavour should it be???
So I want to ask all of you to help me out.....

MARIO & SONIC

So here comes another lovely cake decorated with Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog.

My neighbour's son turned 4 this month and he just loves both these game characters and wanted it on the cake for his big day.

I am so pleased with the feedback I got and also with the smiling faces of the birthday boy and his parents.

Bowling Themed Birthday Cake

Hello everyone!
It has been a long long time since I blogged.... Well first it was christmas, then holidays (and what a lovely time we had), then all the winding up....all this does take time....

But good for me my cake orders were pouring in....
Made loads of birthday cakes and christmas cakes....and all were one of a kind.

This one was made for a boy who turned 6 and had a party in a bowling alley...so his mom asked me to make a chocolate cake with a bowling theme for him.

It was great fun making it and the next day his mom told me that everyone were so pleased with the cake and her son was thrilled.

Well...all the hard work paid off.
